Never used one but I can think of the first problem. Doing all that on the ground and then you need to adjust the track rod end.. How are you going to get at it

Yeah it's only a front wheel so the thrust angle isn't taken into account, meaning that your car could end up crabbing down the road if I'm not mistaken.

Most of the time you only need the front wheels aligning, but there may be the odd occasion when the rears need doing. I have waisted a lot of money on front and rear wheel laser tracking in the past when a cheap front wheel alignment would have done the job.

As far as adjusting the tracking while its on the ground. As long as you can reach the adjusters you will be ok. However you will need to jack the car up to loosen off the locknuts beforehand so they are loose enough to adjust when its on the floor. Then you may have to jack it up to nip them up again.
