Can't believe it! 170 miles on the clock. Took it out for a spin tonight and the engine just cuts out and won't restart.

AA plugged it in, faulty fuel rail pressure sensor and he couldn't get it going again. So over 3 hours later I'm home via an AA trailer.

    That's not good. You must be very dissapointed. Still I'm sure they will get it going again and maybe you can get ya self a free service or something for the inconvenience.

    They are great little cars so stick with it and don't lose heart.

    AA have taken it back to the dealer this morning so waiting for news. The assistance cover you get on new ford's meant I've been delivered a hire car for the time being (although I've had to pay a refundable £100 up front). A lovely B Max!

    All sorted now, Picked up car this morning, good as new, proper bent garage though, they billed the insurance company ( which comes from the other one ) two new front tyres as they were damaged apparently and wheel refurbs for all 4 as they had marks on them, unsure if any of that was correct tbh,

    I know damian, hope it's not a sign of things to come. This b max hire car has the same engine (may be a 100ps not sure) so I'm certainly pushing this harder than my own and it's very good.

    Update on this, a new fuel pump is still on order from Germany, so having had the car 5 days it's been sat at the dealer for 13 days and counting.

    The dealer informed me today they have another 2 awaiting the same part, and I've also seen another case of this from a random twitter post. So looks like there was a faulty batch of fuel systems put into fiestas built around March 14
