Mk7 1.25 Zetec - Oil Pressure

Featured Replies

Hi,

Just stopped at a said of lights and was presented with "engine oil pressure low, stop safely".

Any idea what could cause this? Turned the engine on and off and it went away.

I have seen it a few times in the last year but the oil has always been fine and it has recently been serviced.

I am sure it's nothing to worry about but would be good to know why it shows..

Thanks!

i had this a while ago, have no idea why, i was driving along it flashed up and before i could think about stopping it went again, never come up since i put it down to a sensor had a hissy fit and dont think nothing of it, i also checked any error codes and none came up

It's so strange. Owell as long as it's not serious!

Did it come on after a hard run?

No, Actually a real nice run, Mostly 30mph zones, Low revving etc.. Just normal city driving.

im 100% its just a sensor thrown a wobbly mine was at 70 on the m11 not the best place to suddenly stop lol but no nothing serious
