Called in to my local ford dealership today to check on the order of my new st 2, while I was there I thought I would enquire about upgrading the screen to the sat nav version that's in the St 3 which is a 400 pound extra on the ford website. I was told it isn't possible as it has to be factory ordered. They didn't tell me this when I bought the car so am a bit peeved, can anyone confirm this or has anyone done it. Any info would be helpful. Look forward to chatting x

Ford will not assist you with any retrofits, they need to be factory ordered.

It may be possible to do yourself but the price of parts will be astronomical and the car might need programming.

Don't bother with it mate, get a £80 garmin or something and spend the rest of the money on the mountune upgrade!! Much better mod :)

I didn't spec satnav on mine, just extra weight ;) I was trying to get the dealer to fit cruise but the costs involved were getting out of control so decided mp215 would put more of a smile on my face. Mines getting done soon so will post back on how good it is!

I have the Tom Tom nav on my iPhone it is less than £50 and includes free updates.

Tom I would be really interested in what you think about the Mountune upgrade. Need to know what it is like to live with on a daily basis driving around town and all that. Am sure when you open it up it will be brilliant but its that every day bit that is bothering me. Any idea when you are getting it done?

Sorry to ruin the op's thread lol yeah will do a review of it. I'm booking it tomorrow and my local dealer fits them and can get the parts quick so hopefully in the next 2 weeks. Other people posting that it doesn't ruin mpg and doesn't bring on torque steer.

Phil I would hold off on the MP215 at the moment, just read reports of cars going back to Ford engine plant with a melted piston on cylinder 3 maybe something to watch out for especially if you plan to keep the car a while

Oh Dear, got any links to this? Corsa VXR's had this problem for the first few years, Piston 4 kept going and chaving the block in the process.

I think they have had 6 back but to be honest that has got to be under 1 percent of the amount of mountuned cars out there. Could be because they were running crappy fuel aswell cheap supermarket stuff so not mountune at fault. But as you say time will tell

Same , well apart from a tenner I put in of morrisons, had to take a detour for work and no shell garages in sight! lol
