Power Sockets Not Working With Engine Off?

Featured Replies

Is it right that the two power sockets don't work when the engine is off? I've tried a couple of different things in them in case the first was dead, but neither came on. Having the ignition on made no difference either. My 2010 Fiesta worked with the engine off, has this changed in the facelift or is it due to having the keyless entry and start somehow?

Mine (2013 ST-2) only work with ignition or engine on.

So yours works with the ignition on but engine off? I need to try with the engine on to make sure it isn't a fuse or something, but I got nothing from them with the ignition on earlier.

So yours works with the ignition on but engine off?

Correct

My rear one works with ignition off also, not sure about the front one. I've left my phone in the centre console charging while I've been away from the car. no problem.

Weird, I tried today after work and my phone charged fine with just the ignition on. No idea what was going on yesterday! Might have to keep an eye on this lol.
