Well seems like my bad luck keeps coming with new cars and mirrors

Last car when driving clobbered my mirror on that occasion the glass fell out and broke

On this occasion the top cover stayed on but came lose on 1 part luckily it stayed on and I wasn't going far, but there is a small crack on the clear cover of the indicator part.

So my question before I go to the dealer, does anyone know the part number I am after??

    I've recently just purchased the indicator part (comes complete) and the cap cover which is colour coded. The indicator part number is 1748314 and is £22.80 including vat. The rh cap is 1790490 and is £44.07. Hope that helps :)

    Ouch. Sympathies. But, and this is very little comfort I guess, it was only the wing mirror. Remember the days the damn things would just fold in and probably cause more damage to what you hit than themselves?

    Thanks Nathan, Its the drivers side and just the indicator lens, so that would be part 1748314 am I correct in saying??

    Also is through Ford dealer?

    Yes that's correct :) that's the part number for the drivers side indicator lense and that's the price from ford. The parts man will happily double check it anyway before you order
