Anyone Got Some Times For Overtaking Accelerations ?

Featured Replies

I've got the 125bhp Zetec S ecoboost, and I was wondering what acceleration times are for e.g. 50-70, 30-50 etc. (The common overtaking accelerations)

Does anyone know of some official numbers, or a test which has these numbers ?

EDIT: There are theoritical times here, still I'd like some measured times as well :) (Link: http://www.automobile-catalog.com/car/2013/1817180/ford_fiesta_1_0_ecoboost_125_titanium.html)

My test times were ..........forever, remarkably the car went a lot quicker to the Ford garage to be exchanged for an ST.

You ()anyone) can check my figures, and i will correct them if you produce evidence, i want the figures to be accurate

Here is one i made earlier -

http://www.fordownersclub.com/forums/topic/43835-fastest-quickest-acceleration-50-70mph-in-top-50-seconds-mondeo-vs-supercars-hot-hatches/?hl=50-70mph

all times taken from legitimate sources/ timed safely off road etc

So timing that Fiesta one on the way home,

Taken from the Fiesta Brochure:

1.0 EcoBoost (125PS): 31-62 mph (in 4th gear): 12.2 secs.

Just bear in mind you can sometimes get a faster overtake in a lower gear, my Focus can do 30-60 a LOT faster in 3rd than 4th.

Agreed, but everyone elses times are quicker as well - for example, my 40-60mph is 3 sec in 3rd (3.03 to be exact - did not do/ cannot find a 30-60), some of the supercars have 1 second times in the lower gears, (Ferarri f430 40-60mph - 1.1 seconds/ through gears) My modified diesel (lets not make this another petrol vs diesel thing) is quicker than the Ferrari f430 50-70mph in top, but in the lower gears the Ferrari is a lot quicker than mine - the Ferarris 0-60 is 3.5seconds, mine is a lot slower - over 6 seconds (im working on this) - but we are looking at the in - gear acceleration times

What is the 50-70mph acceleration in top of the Focus 1.0L ecoboost 125PS? (i would like to add it to my list)

This link ("automobile catalog") has a slower 50-70mph in 5th than the one i posted (6.3sec vs 6.0sec) for the Fiesta ST2 -

but the 50-70mph in top is the same (7.9sec)
