Spraying Exterior Plastics

Featured Replies

I'm gonna spray the exterior plastics gloss black eg.. Fog surrounds, grills and rear diffuser. What is the best method. Clean them, primer, paint then gloss? Also what is the best paint to use?

I have done all mine.

The method I used was as dimple as you mentioned.

Just make sure you clean them properly and 10000% dry. If there is still 1 tiny drop of water this will ruin the whole thing.

Take your time and don't rush.

I used Halford primer, gloss black and laquer.

I always allow a little extra drying time than the can states.

3 coats of primer 3 of gloss black and 3 of laquer. This might be more than needed but it work well and looks good imo.
