Back To Ford After Quite A Few Years Away

Featured Replies

Just bought a Focus 1.6 Zetec facelift with the sport Pack, my first ever car was a MK2 Escort 1.3L.....in Beige god it was awful! I suspect I will enjoy this a bit more although dropping down from a 1.8T Golf Gti is a bit painful ... the ride/handling though is a pleasure compared to the lardy golf.

Just need to sort bluetooth/music aux in glovebox not ideal so will be looking on here for options without replacing the OE head unit.

Cheers

Welcome to the family Mark, we have plenty of people here who can help! hopefully the Aux is plugged in already and just needs fitting from the rear of the glovebox, and the Bluetooth is just a change of module.

Hi welcome :)

About 30 years between the two!

The best part is, its not lost its essence!

That's a nice nostalgic picture of the Escort. It takes me back to my childhood when my next door neighbour back then had one exactly the same, but in white. I even recall an incident where he was cleaning the windows upstairs and while he was inside the house, the ladder somehow tipped over and landed on the car. We came rushing out of the house after hearing the noise, and found him stood there next to the car with his shoulders shrugged and he then carried on cleaning the windows without even giving a second thought about his car!

haha, the sad thing is these days, we would probably stand by the car and cry, swear, or get on the phone to the ladders manufacturer demanding compensation and threatening to take them to court over the damages their ladders have caused! :p

Hi from another newbie!

You're absolutely right there. It just struck me as odd the way he took it so calmly. I'd have been gutted if it were my car, that's for sure.
