Ford Fiesta Front Wheel Bearing????

Featured Replies

Hi

Can anyone tell me why the front wheel bearing after some time starts coming out of the hub casing causing the brake disk to grind against the hub housing? Even when I take everything apart again and reseat bearing there is no grove for locking circlip or even a circlip!!! What stops the bearing for moving in the first place?

thanks Graham

Some car u just have to press in bearing no clip needed wat year is ur car

Sent from my iPhone using Ford OC

Hmm.. The bearing should be pressed in from the rear of the knuckle until it hits the lip around the front. The circlip is then fitted on the rear, meaning that bearing ain't going anywhere. The bearings are also a press fit so should be very tight.

What exactly are you reseating? Can you show us a photo?

I have taken off the drivers side front shock assembly with the hub still attached. Pressed out bearing and hub. Then pressed out hub. There is no clip or lip for clip to seat in stopping the bearing from moving out!! Someone said I just need to press in bearing and that is it but that is the problem it has moves out twice!!!!
