itsrelfy
Hi all. I've got a 2012 1.6 tdci titanium x. I've had it 2 months and so far so good but just lately a few little issues have started to appear and I just wondered if anyone has experienced any of them. Firstly when on the motorway the car will "cough" everyone and again. I've read it could be the dmf regenerating but it seems to do it at least once a day when warm. I do 70 miles a day mostly motorway. 2nd is the hands free system. It worked fine up until tonight but on the way home I pulled the paddle to activate it the stero muted but nothing happened. I haven't been able to get it to work. The phones connected but I can't give it any commands at all. Any help you can give me would be great. Thanks Adrian. mixmasterlooney
Out of curiosity are you using supermarket cheap diesel? Remove the car from your phones list od saved devices, do the same on the car then reconnect your phone and give the car access to your phone Sent from my GT-I9300 using Ford OC mobile app
itsrelfy
I use she'll or esso fuel. Not the expensive stuff just normal diesel but I don't use supermarket stuff. As for the phone I'll give it a try tomorrow. Thanks
jimrex
My Focus 1.6 TDCi coughs exactly as you've described as well, it's always done it, I've mentioned it at services and no fault has been found so I've just accepted it as a quirk of the engine. itsrelfy
It's odd isn't it. On mine it only does it once then it carries on it's way like nothing's happened. I was going to take it in to the garage but I assume they won't be able to do anything. And the problem with the hands free seems to have rectified itself. It's worked fine today.
