yes found out its an injector needs replacing. my question is, do they fail straight away or just deteriorate overtime. i ask this as i bought the car off a trader and got it home after 50 miles and thats when it all started. i ve told him i m contacting trading standards but he insists he s driven 250 troublefree miles. been told by garage who are sorting car out this week he probably re set codes so i did nt have issues with it when i set off home. won t start so it points to injector anyway, and when we went to look at car intially, started great the two times we saw it started from cold. just wondered what you or anyone else thinks

What I would do, is get ur mechanic to take all 4 out and get them spray tested to see if they all put out same amount od diesel... then you need pay for bad injector/s and re-coding also re-seating... a new injector costs around 200 ish but after that I have no idea of cost wise.....

injectors go over time, but I wouldnt drive it with a duff injector/s as can cause damage internally.... sound like garage did a quick fix to get chop of it...... just be carful what ever cylinder has been running lean hasnt done many miles..... maybe whilst injectors out do a compression test also to be on safe side

its being looked at on wednesday. not using it until then as its a pig to start. when its warmed up sounds alright and drives pretty well, just no boost. i m no expert but if all injectors were dodgy or just two, i doubt it would run as well as it does at present. thanks for reply
