Bonnet Re-Spray

Featured Replies

Had the ST just over a month now and there's a long scratch at an angle near the washer jets! A pro valeter came out to give the car a proper wax and polish and even deployed the machine polisher but the scratch is deep.

God knows where it came from but what do you reckon I would be looking at for a bonnet re-spray?

Couple of hundred tops. Easy job and will want about a half litre of paint. Just for what it is they'll probably just say they want to £200 or so.

Ok cheers, will get some quotes soon. Could do without it but it's bugging me everytime I see it.

Is the car metallic or flat colour?

Had a stone put a ding in the bonnet of my car and chip the paint. Pushed the dent out PDR style and the chip was sorted by using 2500 wet & dry to smooth the edges down, filled with lacquer from the Ford touch-up kit and polished out by machine.

Flat. It's racing red. No dent at all just a long thin scratch. Where would I obtain the paint code by the way?

Inside the door jam.
