Coolant Leak Help Please

Featured Replies

Hi All

Recently joined the realms of Focus ownership, nice little 2002 1.6 Focus Eele and all was going well until today, noticed a puddle on the drive and upon closer inspection realised it was coolant. It seems to have come from just under the plastic twin inlet circled which sits just under the alternator.

I'd usually just whip it off but the bolts have had it so not that easy. Does anyone know whats under there or where exactly the leak might be coming from? Thinking it may be the thermostat and would rather get any parts I may need before stripping it down further.

Thanks

Chris

could be the stat housing itself, often crack, so would suggest getting a stat and housing
