i give car good clean and started to remove the 1.4 Carb Engine

Cutting out old battery tray for new panel to be welded and sealed

Changed the number plates to legal ones.

have to grind down and repair few minor damage Update soon :)

then wiring and mechical parts to be removed (struts and springs arms and bushes ect)

will give car a good jetwash and engine degresser when the rest of the wiring loom is out.

i will rebuild the factory loom with new sleeving. Im not sure on color sceme yet! :)

idk what color to have the car painted yet.

You have to cut out the inner cam cover to hide the side engine bolt.

I will also add a peice of metel along the top of the mount to the rear to add strengh (3rd pic) (mod the the backplate may need to be trimmed for peice of mind)

Water pump and Alternator problems solved.


Use ST170 Tensioner.

Use CVH Alternator.

Use 950-1150mm 6pk Belt.

next todo. Grind and weld Inner seals and front member...

Then Rub down and prep the whole car.

Very nice mate.. for colour why not go with panther black/aubergine the same as a mk6 rs2000. Just a suggestion can't wait to see the finished project mate

brought Focus Flywheel didnt fit :( wasted 30 Quid.

Still looking for good welder.

It's abit slow found a lot of bodge work and was arrested and on bail. So yea a lot on my mind :(

I have cut and welded new wheel arch to find out I need new inner panel around fuel filler and new Jacking mounts and sills.

One rust job turns into 3 :(
