    Welcome! Sounds like a nice car you have! I'd leave it as it is, and just add a few accessories, the MK1 doesn't look dated at all IMO!

    Its a great car to drive. Outside is a bit battered but that's not too bad.The only thing I really don't like on it is the wood effect surround on the stereo and would the gear stick. Any suggestions on best to do, was thinking wrapping but not sure what it will look like,

    Yeah the wood is nasty. Could you rub it down and spray the trim Shiny black?

    I got a bit of wrap from a friend might just try it on the gear surround. If it looks bad I will just rip it off and think of something else but rubbing it down doesnt sound like a bad idea. Cheers
