Ladies and Gentlemen of the jury....

I have been in communication with one of our more artistic members of the community and have an idea I would like to put to you all to see what your thoughts are!

One of our members as some of you have seen from his welcome thread is quite handy with a pencil and paper and is very good at sketching cars in general, but having spoken with him, I have put the idea to him to see if he would be willing to be our community sketch artist to which he has agreed.

The idea is that in return for a donation (a couple of pounds say) he would be willing to take one of your favored pictures of your motor and hand sketch it. This gives you a more personal picture and offers you a unique experience that we hope you will enjoy.

The proposal ladies and gents, is that this chap is willing to do your sketches in return for a donation based on the value of his drawings. He currently studies, so most of his time and efforts are dedicated towards his study, but he is willing to do this in his spare time.

The question is this, would you answer the poll above to advise how much you would be willing to pay for a personal sketch such as the below but personalised to your picture?

Now, before we continue, please note that this is something that our member is looking to do in his spare time, and by no means is he a professional artist with art works selling for millions, it is something he is willing to do to offer a personal aspect, so if you ask for a particular picture to be done, its something that he will be honest with you and tell you what sort of effort is invloved (pictures can take from 20 minutes to a few hours depending on the detail he would go into). As such, if you ask for a sketch, it may take a few minutes to a few days or even a week to complete, so please note that if you do take this service up it will be something that we would ask you to ask now and wait for a good amount of time before you start asking why the artist doesnt love you enough to give you a picture right now ;)

The level of detail has not yet been discussed, but I have attached a poll asking for everything from a very basic few lines on paper through to a detailed reproduction of a photo. Please note that as of yet, the artist has not agreed to go to that level due to the commitments outside of the forum, but I have put the question there to see who would be willing to offer what for such a reproduction. discussions are still ongoing behind the scenes with management.

Further to this, I have been sent another example of art that the nominated artist, they advise that this is the best art that they can do without spending more than a day on the work!

I wonder if this can entice any more of you to see if its going to be of any use to you :)

I'd be really interested in a picture like that of my car with a background similar, if the artist would give me a price I would happily paypal it if it's reasonable and give them the car photo to use.

He is good! I would love to get mine done when I get a few quid, I just need a really decent photo of it!

I would love to have a pic like that Beemer, but as an action shot where my car is driving through the countryside!!!
