Car Mats

Featured Replies

I haven't found many that are nice, I also don't know whether to get rubber or carpet ones. I've heard bad things about the official mats so any help please?

The official rubber mats I have I have had no problems at all with and look really nice and practical for the winter. However, now we are coming up to the summer months I would quite like to get some carpet ones.

I had a look on Ebay and found a set of velour ones for around the same price as the standard Ford mats.

Are those the standard mats? The ones I've bought are the same shape as the original ones so I don't know if I'd have the same problem.

Evans Halshaw put the mats in,ive had to curl them under the drivers seat a bit so they dont catch.

I will probably go to Halfords and see what mats they have.I dont think you will have that problem,i think mine are for a limo..Ha!Ha!

Try the Autostyle website, for custom-made mats.

I've just had a quick look on the net, and found www.simplycarmats.co.uk, providing FULLY tailored standard, and VELOUR carpet sets, with original clip locators.

Standard black @ £19.95, + £4.95 delivery

Velour, in Beige, or Black, or Grey, @ £25.94 +£4.95 delivery

TEL 01527 529484, 09.00 -- 17.00 hrs, mon --fri.

Email enquiries [email protected] between 09.00 to 22.00 hrs 7 days a week, can expect a reply within 2 hrs, and a full reply within 24 hrs.

Autostyle mats are more upmarket, but have attracted repeat custom, on various carownerwebsites.

The illustrations of the Fiesta Mk 7 mats from simplycarmats, look well shaped, and the drivers mat is shorter than the passengers, with 2 fixing locators.

Older Fiestas are also catered for, as well as other Fords & umpteen brands.

That's actually a great price, my standard Ford mats were around £25 and they ain't good. My heels seem to catch on the mat, never happened when I had velour mats!

I bought the premium velour carpet mats and the driver's mat is very worn after only 3000miles. The Mountune mats look much better.

Have a look at www.carmats4u.com. Their top grade set with Exclusive velour, costs £68.99.

Also, www.cyberspares.co.uk, do 3 grades, from ~ £15 to £46.

where exactly do the mats mount on the driver's side? All I've found are two semi cut out rectangularsections under the driver's seat but these are really far back.
