mactell
Hi All, I currently have a iPhone 4s. Its rather broken but still a little usable. I am currently on o2 and paying over £50 a month. The contract ends in November however if I cancel now they want £180. I want to get a new phone ideally before November as the phone is playing up so much. I am looking to get the iPhone 5s with unlimited data. Any ideas on what or who i should go with to make this the cheapest option?
Nathan54771
I'm with three and have the iPhone 5s 32gb, unlimited data and tethering to other devices. 2500 minutes and unlimited texts. All for £42 a month which I think is quite reasonable seen as I've had it for 8 months now too.

Nathan54771
What's wrong with the 4s exactly ?
mactell
What's wrong with the 4s exactly ? Slow, cracked screen, cracked back, microphone is temperamental, ear piece speaker doesn't work. And I only get 500MB of data so have to keep buying more each month.
Nathan54771
Yeh needs abit of work then Hahaa, depends whether you fancy spending the money to upgrade or try and manage abit longer. P.S if your going to sell the iPhone 4s I'd be willing to buy it if the price you wanted was right.

MattDRX
Both of those are crap, Galaxy Note3 FTMFWYO! biggest screen all of them are 32GB and fastest processor, plus it'll play anything and easily adapted to take tablet apps. I'm with O2, and I pay £38PM for 5GB data, Unlimited texts and minutes.
chrisroberson99
What an earth is FTMFWYO? I agree with you though, Samsung phones are really good. The only Apple product I have is my iPad!
Stoney871
S5 is a cracking phone. Can't stand iphones, too fragile and overpriced.

For the Mother something win yo! Ipads are crap as well, All tablets are imo, complete waste of money and space, got bored of mine on the way home from buying it, only thing I actually use it for is my Auditing system for work and Battlefield Commander App so I can still level whilst away. mactell
Hi all, I didn't ask for a debate on the best phone just asked what you guys think I should do with my current contract
jeebowhite
If you dont want to buy an iPhone for the remainder of your contract, I can highly recommend the MySaga C2 - its an android phone that is £75 or so, and is on par with the Samsung galaxy S3, its an excellent phone and I have absolutely no regrets having bought it, its the best quality phone I have seen for such a low price, its reliable and brilliant!
MattDRX
Hi all, I didn't ask for a debate on the best phone just asked what you guys think I should do with my current contract In essence you need to get a new contract that's £30 a month cheaper, which isn't going to happen, just to break even on doing this. can you get any money for the handset you've got? Mazuma won't take a phone with a cracked screen but might be able to flog on eBay, Screen repair replacement kits are only £30, maybe buy that fix it and sell the phone as a functioning model? b1g_dav3
I don't like my Galaxy S5 :(
chrisroberson99
Why?? Tried my cousins S5 yesterday, it's a million times better than my S3! I can't wait to get the S6 next year. New iPad first though.
b1g_dav3
It's just a bit meh, some of the features are a step backwards and generally is just very plain. It does nothing better than the Galaxy S4 that I've found and just isn't as nice in the hand. Just haven't really bonded with it at all. Brigante
apologies for jacking the OP's thread but i am in a similar predicament in the sense i need a new phone/contract and I'm not sure what new phone to go for i have had a note 3 previously, but it didn't last long as due to a breeth split second of rage, it found itself launched into my passenger footwell and somehow smashed it's screen n even dinked the digitizer rendering it useless been using me old galaxy ace which is also on its last legs due to very poor signal n its impossible to make a call on need a new phone asap n i've narrowed it down to the s5 the route i took too get to the s5 was it was a choice between 3 contenders, the s5, the note3 again or the iPhone with the iPhone spec wise, it does seem completely out specced by both the 5s and the note3 and it is overpriced for what it is plus i prefer a bigger screen so if i was to go for the iPhone, i would rather wait till september for the 6 as i hear they will be bringing out a large screen model though i am definitely not one of these phone geeks who queue n queue all day n night to get the latest iphone on release day and i'm not that fussed to care that much about it so i probably wouldnt be able to get it in september anyway due to it being outa stock for ages this leaves the note3 and the s5 fighting it out i did like the note3 and specwise it does beat the s5 in terms of memory n screen size etc but then the s5 wins in otherwise and for the same reasons i wouldn't get the iphone now, if i was to get another note i would again prefer to wait till september for the note4, plus if the news is true it will possibly have a 6" screen which as much as i'd like, won't be practical for work this leaves the s5, which is the latest galaxy s out at the moment so will be another year till the s6 is out. so i'm desparate for a new phone right this second i'm thinking about getting it now n putting a larger capacity battery in it n not waiting for the other phones to come out apologies for the lengthy post on another members thread but i would really appreciate current s5 owners letting me know what exactly they think of it and whether i should take the punt on it
