I am the owner of a 58 plate fiesta zetec and would be interested in upgrading the CD player to the Sony unit used in the titaniums. Is it possible ?

    For the most part this is a direct swap. Stoney871 I believe did this very upgrade and it was relatively straightforward if memory serves correct.

    I take it your radio is the standard Visteon type?-

    If so you can do a direct swap for a gen2 Sony unit (available as single or 6 disc unit), just make sure it is definitely not from a Mondeo or else it will not fit (the Mondeo ones are a funny shape).

    Gen2 Sony-

    You can also fit the gen2/3 crossover-

    I do not believe there is a fascia available to take the oval gen3 radio.

    The gen2 or 2/3 hybrid versions are a direct swap, you just need a set of keys (readily available from ebay etc).
