Good morning after joining the forum I had an email sent to me that suggested introducing myself to you all.

I currently own an Escort Cosworth in ash black! Probably one of my favourite cars of all time.

Unfortunately my Escos had started to micro blister in places so I decided to have a full respray on the car. After removing the front bumper it had become apparent that micro blistering was the least of my problems.

The front crossmember had started to rot, I could've cried.

After going a bit further with the car we found a couple of other patches that require attention to the rear of the vehicle and one hole in the drivers side floor about the size of a £2 coin.

After the above I have decided to do a full restoration on the car and make her as beautiful as she deserves to be. I have found a fantastic local body shop in South Yorkshire, with both a fantastic fabricator and painter! I've been going in for probably about 6-7 months now and some of the work they turn out is brilliant.

They are due to start stripping the escort this morning, glass out, carpets so on so fourth. I'll post some pictures in the appropriate forums as I go along.

I've also managed to get hold of some Rondell 122's I believe they're called that have never previously been fitted on a vehicle. This made me very, very happy as I believe they make an Escort look superb.

I'll also try and find some of the pictures of the car before she was stripped.
