Hi I'm Simon and I have a problem............. I am an alcholic there I said it. Oops think may be posting on the wrong support group

I have just ventured into my first Ford motor car I have ever owned. No offence to anyone but should I start wearing a shell suit and wear a baseball cap backwards like back in the 80's if you owned a Cossie lol

Not sure if I will stay long or not, car may be a stop gap may turn out to be a longer visit.

Still have my previous car sat at home deciding whether to fix and get it back on the road or get rid or break it.

So yeah hi.

Welcome to the family Simon!

What is the monster in the garden then that your deciding on killing or reviving?

Yep it is/was a great car in many ways, BMW mostly to be fair, BMW engine, load cover, electronics all from BMW and a few other bits. only the body was MG Rover really.

Here it is at last years MOT when he refused to smoke test it but then did in the end.

And my current daily hack in the name of a Focus.

IMAG0104.jpg

Very different cars to be fair and both have their plus and minus points, 110bhp Focus against a standard 135BHP ZTT that had been remapped so was pushing out more never had it dyno'ed though being just one, Crappy fuel economy on the ZTT which seems so far to be a lot better with the Focus but as it's only been a few days we will see what the brim to brim works out to be MPG wise.

Thanks for the welcomes anyway. Seems somehow strange being in a different Marque and on a different forum :)

even small things like gutting the DPF and remapping, as well as an EGR Blanking plate will make the car feel a lot better!
