Remaps can often make a big difference to turbo cars (petrol or diesel) with gains of 25-30 or even 40 Hp common,

Mostly, on NA (Naturally Asperated / non-turbo) engines (Petrol or diesel) a remap makes hardly any difference, gains i have seen ar as low as 6HP, this will be hardly noticed (it is said you need at least a 10% improvement to notice a difference)

the cost must be taken into account - so, for example, is a hardly noticable 6Hp improvement worth paying £250 for? - or would you be better getting new tyres/ brakes etc etc.
