Mk7 With No Aux Port.

Featured Replies

Hi all,

As you can tell I am new here, so apologies if this is in the wrong section.

I have recently purchased a Fiesta mk7 1.25 (59) for my first car.

Online I have seen that on all mk7s, the aux port is supposed to come fitted as standard, but on mine it is not.

Can anyone advise anything, as I would really like a aux port in my car!

Sorry for any terrible formatting/grammar, I am on my phone.

Cheers

Caelan

I thought they all had one... Your looking in the right place right? I have made that mistake before

Picture from my car, others have the Aux where those two little slots are.

What trim is it?

And nothing in the glovebox?

The model is a Studio, I have checked the glovebox already, but when I get home from work I will have a double check.

It's maybe because it's a studio and it's the bottom of the range one ? Probli wasn't standard on the mk7 with that, even though it now is on the mk7.5

Alright, if this is the case, is there any way to retrofit a 3.5mm Aux connection into the car?

Cheers again.

ninja edit: It does actually have the AUX button on the radio/audio system, just no input.

Maybe you could run your own cable down then from behind the stereo ? And get the ford slot where it should be.

Someone will maybe clarify this ? Can't find any topics on it atm

It is really strange, I have been searching this problem for about a month now and I have only found 1 or 2 other people with this same issue, and both of them just led to dead ends.

Thanks for your help so far though!

Also gratz on 999 posts! ;)

Yehh not really heard much on the topic tbh, it could definately be done though, worst case is fit an aftermarket with the input on it :)

But I'm sure you could retrofit the usb or aux input too it, just need someone to clarify.

Hahaa no worries, here to help and cheers I must spend too much time on here ;)

Cheeky little bump.

Do the slots look like they are anything?

I will have another check when I get home, but from memory the slots look useless. I would try giving some pressure on it to see if I can remove it, but I don't really want to damage it.

I'll check microcat for you, I believe there is a panel available to replace the coin holder panel.

Fantastic, cheers for that Stoney. Just had a go at the "coin holder", it moved a bit but I didn't want to force it too much.

I think you may need this cable too, best to check with Ford before buying.

Prices in all diagrams are in Euros.

Legend! Cheers for the help all! I will go to my local Ford ASAP and report back!

Hmm, I did just think of something that could be a problem... When I press the AUX button, it doesn't actually do anything on the display and it just sits there looking at me. Should pressing this button change anything? Could I need a software update?

helloo i have the same exact problem ... just want to check what happened with yu did it work ?

  • 7 years later...

I have the same issue with the AUX button not actualy doing anything. Were you able to sort this out and if so how?
