Basically, got a 1.0T and will be getting a remap at the same time as I sort the Cat out. Now my Question is, Decat or Sports Cat? Bear in mind I have 2 years MOT free.

Sport cat easier as it means you don't have to bolt in a cat when your MOT does come due.

The decat is technically illegal and remember a Traffic Officer can request that you have your car checked at an MOT garage if he has reasonable suspicion that a legally required part has been removed whether you are due an MOT or not.

You also shouldn't decat a turbo petrol as they need a little bit of back pressure, prolongs the life of the turbo.

Yeah sports cat, more expensive than decat but cheaper than a new turbo when yours knackers over time.

Not only is a sports cat easier than the hassle come mot time or if you are inspected by any jobsworth cop or even vosa but its a better selling point for when the time does come.

Sport cat for sure; less hassle with lights flagging up, police sniffing about, obnoxious noise, and MOT time failures with the pipe option.
