Dash Cam Help

Featured Replies

is it possible to tell if the night vision on dash cam is working or not.are the lights on the front of the camera supposed to light up,i know you wouldnt see it but would it be like remotes when you look at the infra red light through moby camera you can see them ight up.

To be honest, the night vision on the dash cams isn't all that brilliant. Even military spec kit isn't fantastic

In the dark put your hand in front of it. It should light up your hand like a torch with a very weak battery in it. As Sean said they aren't much good unless you find one with good Low Lux capability.

Mobile phone cameras will pick up the infrared.
