Anyone's know what MH stands for on a concrete marker post? Man hole maybe?

We're building a new house and had a quick walk around our site at the weekend. I came across this marker post which we hadn't noticed before! Perhaps hidden by long grass? Just wondered what it was for. Will have to sneak in at the weekend again and have a proper root about!

    On posts that just have an H I believe the two numbers are the diameter of the pipe and the distance it is from the post. Not sure which number is which, what units they're in or whether it even applies here, so all I've really contributed is some useless knowledge :).

    I'm reliably informed that the top number is the bore in millimeters and the lower number is the distance in metres to the hydrant(in the cases of the letter H)

    Just need to find out what's buried on our land and hope it doesn't affect our build although planning permission has been granted so hopefully it's all been checked and is OK.

    Thinking it's something on the water side of things as well Clive.
