I recently bought a English imported 1.8 tdci titanium mk 2.5 focus in the last few weeks I'm starting to experience electrical problems reverse sensors never worked but makes a sound while in reverse dim lights are set to high but no control is on the switch panel to lower them also sometimes indicators don't make a noise while indicating on a few occasions my speedo has gone completely black while driving and other things like that just wondering what is causing these problems car was made in 08 still fresh any help greatly appreciated

Good news is that there's nothing new in there - and nothing too serious.

Are the reverse sensors aftermarket? (Including X-vision as fitted by the dealers as opposed to factory). If they're an ebay special, you can buy replacement sensors for a few quid - or a whole new kit for under £15. In the mean time, check the sensors are clean and that they're all firmly plugged in (trace the wires...if it's aftermarket try behind the boot carpet on the nearside - then again, it may well be elsewhere lol)

As far as I'm aware, there are no dimmers?

Indicator noise and and the speedo COULD be related? I can't remember what the fix for that is though.

Hopefully someone who has experienced that problem will be along soon
