I must be stuck had hand but out carnt get open boot without my keyfob

What car is it so will it not open from key or boot handle

Sent from my iPhone using Ford OC

change the battery in fob thats astart

Probably the same as mine (2.5) my blister switch doesn't work either. It's been swapped but still only opens with the key.

2 guys at work have the same problem, not sure if they have also wasted money trying to replace the switch.

I'm worried about this happening to me.

I have swooped the battery still nothing and my boot doesn't have a lock or button to open it try the handle won't open its a 2005 tdci sport I just need use of the boot and carn't get in thanks for the comments x

its most likely the microswitch in the remote fob for the boot. If the boot still opens by pressing the boot release / rubber switch. If its just the remote, you have two options: 1) buy a replacement fob, just swap the immobiliser chip, then program to the car or 2) buy an aftermarket switch for about £14 off ebay, and use this remote to unlock the car / boot, then just use the key to drive.

try disconnecting the car battery for 10-20mins and reconnecting it.

strangely one day i had an issue where the central locking completely stopped working, i changed the battery in the fob and it made no difference. it started working again when i reconnected the car battery
