Am I Now A Ford Man?

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Just bought my second Ford Focus, the new one a silver 1.6 tdci econetic Titanium to replace my 1st ever Ford, another Focus but a 1.8tdci Style estate. NL58UFJ was a very reliable car which took me deep into France every year fully loaded with camping gear, if you are the new owner treat her well & you will have no problems. So good was my old Focus I bought a new one, does this now make me a dedicated Ford man?

Possibly... Do you have any thoughts about other marques?

Hi welcome :)

Welcome! Would be great to see some pics of your new car!

I think the question everyone wants to ask is. Would you buy a Vau***ll!?

Thanks for the welcome, would I buy a Vauxhall, funny enough my 1st car was a Vauxhall Cavalier Lx E602PUE, looked like the SR in shinny red but with performance of a wet lettuce. Other marques I have had a few 3 Volvo's 2x440 & a 240GLT a big old bus but like driving my favourite arm chair, the cost of converting to unleaded from 4 star was the nail in the coffin. After that a Renault Laguna estate 2.0 very quick car very comfortable but spares very very expensive, replaced that with a 1.9 TDI 130 se Golf estate very quick for a diesel with gr8 engine & gearbox, but never felt comfortable with it, stupid warning lights & ding ding, for every little thing, do I really need a warning light & a ding sound to tell me it's cold when I have just scraped 2 inches of snow of the car to get in? Seat very hard too. I have another car a little Citroen C2 which is gr8 fun a little go cart, plus my Yamaha Fzs 600 Fazer bike, which is a real joy to own.

Will add some Pics of my new Focus soon.

Thanks all for comments

Look forward to them!

Lol...just wait until you get low on screenwash in the Focus...

I must admit, I've been asking myself the same question. After 16 Peugeots, 2 VWs, 2 Vauxhalls (lol) and a Toyota I'm wondering why I never bought a Ford before as I really like the Mk 2.5 Focus! I don't think I'm stuck on one Marque though (though the Peugeot list may show otherwise) I'm always interested in different makes lol.
