Fiat 500's Cant Get Up Hills!

I was fairly shocked to leave a set of lights at a brisk pace one evening recently and find the car stuck on my rear bumper was one of those pesky Fiat 500's.

The Abarth version appears to be ever so slightly more nippy than the 1.2L jobbie!

Then again it was on a flat road ;)

    I saw this when it was on TV, it boggles the mind how they can get through all the tests that modern cars go through without noticing that it can't get up a hill...

    That is unbelievable!!! How is that car safe on the road!!! Was looking at the Abarth 500 but decided there not manly enough for me. So as 10am tomorrow I'm am now the very proud owner of a fiesta ST. Glad I didn't go for the fiat now 😂

    Fiat's official response was "it may take drivers a little while to adjust to the driving style of this car" or some rubbish! :lol:

    How about just reversing up hills instead?

    Bit like Vauxhalls response "once you get the car back onto it's wheels it tends to drive quite well." ...
