Back To The Blue Oval!

Featured Replies

Hi all, finally, I am back in a car which wears the blue oval after 7 months with an MG which boiled water faster than my kettle and a classic Pug (Which I still have). I do have one or two issues which I'd like help with, but will (hopefully) post the questions in the correct area!

Anyway, back on topic - I had a 1998 Fiesta 1.4 Zetec from June 2011 to October 2012, this was my second car and I loved that car to bits - however a Focus came up at a reasonable price so she had to go..... BIG MISTAKE. Anyway, the Fiesta came up for sale again a year later (October 2013) and without thinking twice, I slipped in a bid.... I was the winning bidder. The car was trailered to me, upon arrival, I was close to tears, what a mess she was in.... 14,000 miles of abuse piled on in 7 months, she was a wreck, but I was pleased to have her back.... After throwing £400 at her in parts, she still didn't feel the same, so I bit the bullet, lost a heap of money and sold her to an enthusiast with more money and knowlege than me.... Then the MG came, blew up and went.... Then the Peugeot.... Nothing felt the same as my Fiesta... Nothing was even close to replacing it.... I knew what I wanted next... An Aquarius Blue 3 door Zetec MK6, after some time spent searching, one popped up, very cheap on a facebook selling page.... 3 minutes after that was posted, I had been on the phone to the seller and was on my way to view it... And bought it!

She's a 2004 '04' Ford Fiesta 1.4 Zetec with 97k on the clock - in the right body shape and colour - even the optional 16" wheels (although corroded) she's a beaut cosmetically, but has mechanical niggles... Hence price...

Anyway, my 9th car, which is also my 5th Ford, I'm pretty pleased.

Apologies for rambling on... Once I start, I can't stop!

Ben.
