Looking to get a mark 3 1.6 cdci, Zebec.

Just curious what are the mpg expectations driving in the 'real world'.

I will be doing approx 40 miles each way to work, mostly fast A road and then B road villages.

I have a MK3 1.6 TCDI, and commute a similar distance. With regular driving (I.e. not particularly gentle/economical), I get 53-55 MPG. That has dipped to 50-51 since the freezing temperatures though.

hi,,, 1.6 tdci econetic on a trip to my friends and back driving out the city then B roads and back which is roughly 35 mile round trip, i always get around 60 to 65 depending on the traffic as i leave and re enter the city.

On the B roads there alone i got 74mpg once on a 15 ish mile trip to his house, my mate is Scottish and travels quite a bit and monitors his milage, when i showed him the 74 i thought he was going to cry. :)

Driving around the city its anywhere between 48-58 depending on trafic and the lights and how i drive.

Most owners on the real world mpg site state 40-50 mixed 50 up motorway so ide say you're doing pretty well with you're mpg for me ide use good diesel not the supermarket rubbish which will help

yep 52 on motorway, 40-45 around town

Thanks for the feedback guys, so can expect around 50mpg average, maybe a little more if driven carefully or road conditions are suitable.
