Focus 2008 1.6 Diesel Oil Leak

Featured Replies

Hello,

I'm not very experienced with cars, however after getting an oily smell through the vents in my Focus, I had a look and noticed quite a lot of oil had leaked out of the top of my engine and was cooking itself on top. (pic 1 & 2).

Looking a bit closer, the oil appears to be coming out from the one of the 'posts' coming out of the top of the engine. I have no idea what they are, but there are four of them. If someone could tell me what they are that'd be brilliant! My guess is a fuel injector. Oil appears to be coming out of the far right one, which as can be seen the top of it looks completely different from the other ones.

It's probably worth noting that it appears the garage overfilled on oil at the last oil change, as the level is slightly above the top of the dipstick.

Any ideas?

Cheers
