Annoying Squeaking Noise

Featured Replies

Hello all,

Hope you can help me. Over the past few weeks, a on and off squeaking noise has started coming from the front of the car. From a rough guess it sounds like its coming from the front passenger side. Its not loud but is noticeable.

Anyone have an ideas on whats causing it?

Cheers

I had the same problem on mine a couple of months ago turned out the brakes were worn

Is it like a metal or plastic squeak

Can't really remember mate it was high pitched anyway.

Yeah, mine does sound more metal sounding, but its difficult to describe.

Is it all the time or when you turn your steering wheel ? Also how worn are your pads and discs ?

Thanks was gonna ask that :p as it may be the rubber around your suspensions

Its mostly on and off, sometimes it'll make it and sometimes it will be quiet when driving.

Its a 2011 with 27k miles, so I'm guessing the they are still the original discs?

Had a MOT and Service back in August 2013

But did you happen to notice if it's on straight lines or when bending?

I needed the pads changed in mine when I first got it but I'm not sure how many miles they had done. But that's the only thing I can think of it being hope it helps you anyway
