sharp metal !!

checked it before i started.anyway spent an hour and half trying to cut
the sctraches out with some G3 professional scratch remover got most out

Wheel woolies are the best brushes if used.

Thanks mark wish i had of know before today :( :(

I use a soft detailing brush on my alloys, which incidentally get washed with shampoo and water every time I wash the car, I protected them in the spring when I first bought the car with wheel sealant and its proved its worth ever since

ok thanks can i ask what sealant you used ??

I used poorboys pink wheel sealant, took about an hour all in per wheel but then I think I might've applied it too thickly in the first place

Since then it's minutes if that washing them off as said

New car I'm going to use it again, this time in conjunction with gtechniq c5

I don't bother with wheel brushes. The wheels get sprayed with Valet Pro Bilberry wheel cleaner and are left to dwell for 5 mins. Then I jetwash them and 80% of the muck is gone. They next get snowfoamed and jet washed again, which removes some more dirt.

Then I just give them a scrub with my wash mitt and remaining clean wash water. (Before anyone complains about me using my wash mitt, it is washed in the washing machine and dried before next being used)

I too just use a wash mitt and High pressure gun, I would like to get some poor boys, have only heard good reviews about them, I have noticed that the fiesta does leave alot more brake dust on the rims compaired to any other car I have had over the years.

This is the wheel brush I use: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Autoglym-Hi-Tech-Wheel-Brush/dp/B002TUORV2/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1421666356&sr=8-1&keywords=autoglym+wheel+brush

It's great, no metal but incredibly durable (I've been using it weekly for about 2 years and it's pretty much like new). I use it on the callipers too which works well, although there's a bit of luck involved because they can by hidden behind part of the alloy.
