Leak From Clutch Pedal

Hi everyone ive got yet another problem with the "reliable" focus 04 i seems to have a leak coming from the clutch pedal it seems oil like to the touch and smells like some kind of hydraulic fluid can Anyone shed any light on this please ??



Its brake fluid, leaking clutch master cylinder.

around £100 to fix at a garage I think, around £40-£50? for a Luk (genuine) part.

I'm from fife in Scotland.

The clutch and brakes share the same reservoir but the brakes will be unaffected by the clutch even if it is leaking. The clutch draws it's fluid from higher in the reservoir than the brakes which means your clutch will run out of fluid first..

that's good to know, about to swap out the rear drums and was wondering how bleeding was effected by trhat.
