Annual Mileage???

Featured Replies

What happens if you go over the set mileage set by FORDCREDIT not the insurance company? It's a finance car not lease! AND can I modify my car if it's on finance?

I've went over my annual mileage and I'm panicking. It's only 6p every mile so it's not that bad but when will I have to pay it? Please give me some good reassuring advice.

You only have to pay the 6p per mile if you hand the car back at any point.

If the garage agrees to buy the car off you and settle the finance, or if you pay off/re-finance the GMFV there will be no fees applied.

I think you are supposed to notify Ford before making any modifications, otherwise they may charge for returning it back to standard.

Again only applies if you hand the car back.

Sooo...if I'm keeping the car after the finance term is up they won't charge me with going over the mileage?

And another thing, it's due a service soon by ford, will they say anything about the modifications I've made while it's there? It's only the rear windows tinted and the lights. I don't don't want them to have a go at me when I take it for a service. My dad has a go at me by saying the car isn't yours yet so I shouldn't be making any mods, fair enough, but I'm keeping the car after the finance is up so I don't know why they'd say anything :/

If your keeping the car mileage makes no difference.

Tinted windows will not matter, and as long as lights are legal I can't see it being an issue.

Capless fuelling? You should have a funnel with the spare wheel which will open the fuel cap.

I appreciate that but I haven't. I'm going to buy the funnel of ebay. Thanks anyway.
