Hey all

Im thinking I may have to part with my Fiesta - Pretty sad times! I need to raise some money for my Masters Degree fees and the car is the only thing that i can do to raise it quickly :-(

But I'm not sure on what to sell him for. He's an 06 plate mk6.5 1.25 climate petrol done 81k - just passed his mot with no advisory and told the car is in excellent condition - I've changed the standard interior to silver and installed the aux point. I have been watching on eBay but they go for so many different prices I'm not sure what price to gage.

Any help and/or advice would be greatly appreciated!

Have a look at parkers website, they give estimates

I'd get a Glasses Guide valuation and then take off about 1/5 because it's always a bit too high. Then compare that to what you would get on We Buy Any Car and similar sites, and try to sell it privately. That's what I did with my last car but ended up selling it to We Buy Any Car because there was no interest on Autotrader, eBay or Motors even though I had dropped the price about £600 less than the Glasses valuation.

if you stick your Cars detail in Auto Trader it will tell you how much they usually sell for, give part exch and private sale estimates

You could even sell your car on here over in the sellers forum, it's sad when it comes to tough times like these but look at it as a positive investment - you'd be able to buy one his cousins (if you wanted to) when you've got that masters degree and have landed the job of your dreams :)
