I've been advised that my car needs new control arms on the front. MK2 2.0 tdci focus. I was looking at getting lemforder ones as opposed to the ford original parts. What is the difference between them. I've seen some other manufacturercontrol arms listed for as low as £30.00 - where as fords are around £140.00 each. Do ford manufacture these parts themselves? Do you have any recemondations any one.

There are some cheap nasty replacements out there, lemforder are generally a good brand. They are an oem brand too.

Had mine done they weren't £140 each more like 140 the pair as stef said there are some nasty ones out there that are a false economy lemforder are a good brand they supply land rover suspension parts

It always amazes me how many people go to Ford or any Main Dealer to get a 'Genuine' Ford part. Ford don't make parts!! They buy them in from outside manufacturers who supply them and the Motor Factors. Often in exactly the same box, just with a Ford sticker/part number put on it!! The only difference is the higher cost. As long as you go for bonfide manufacturers you normally are fine...and save money as well!!
