Hippo
Can anyone recommend a way to repair my interior dash. The cats cage has caused scratching to the plastic around the glovebox. I have attached a picture
williamweb
Have a go at carbon wrapping. Sent from my iPad using Ford OC
Figgis41
or find the same part in a breakers yard and swap it out.
Hippo
Thanks for the replies. Ideally i want to try and keep everything as it is and just try and repair the damage if there is a way
mjt
You could try treating it with something like Cockpit Shine but to be honest the only real cure is replacement.
luke.grimbley
It will need replaced I'm afraid. Some interior polish might hide it slightly but not fully.
coldic
I would start by ditching the cats. Think you can get some sort of wrapping to go round it.
Hippo
Thanks for the replies. I will look into getting it wrapped as I don't fancy taking the complete dash out
Stoney871
Try sanding with fine grit wet and dry sandpaper.
Me9141
Try a magic sponge, many different brands available. They are a light abrasive but dont scratch the plastics. It should restore to a natuaral look. Worth a punt at about £3 each. eBay is probably your best bet.
simcor
As suggested either replace the damaged part from a scrappies or look for a company that does dashboard repairs. They can sand the area as mentioned and re texture and repaint the area with a matching colour. Not sure on cost but may be worth a look.
