Diesel Air Intake Control

Featured Replies

Good evening,

1st off I am new to the site and in desperate need of some assistance. I have a 1.6 tdci

Was out in the car tonight, it was running fine, just as it got warm it felt as if it was trying to stall at about 2000rpm, then it stopped after about 2 minutes. Engine light popped on and auto stop/start switched itself off. Phoned the AA, they turned up and said that the error code said 'diesel air flow control flow stuck' he prayed some cleaned in there and it cleared.

About 2 hours later it does exactly the same thing. Now the engine light is back on and I'm left wondering what to do about it.

What exactly is this diesel air flow control? Where can I find it and is it easy to replace?

Thanks in advance

Dan

It's unfortunatly over 60k (I do a lot of miles) it has been fully serviced.

I only ask to see if it's something simple I could do at home rather than fork out for labour costs.

Hi Dan,

the only thing that comes to mind for airflow is the maf sensor, its on the air cleaner outlet, this may need changing.
