1.6 Zetec Noisy When Cold

Hi all, my 09 1.6 petrol has an hollow almost sounds if the exhaust is slightly blowing, sound when cold, but when it warms up its quiet. Is this normal as I've only had the car about three weeks. Also when cold it seems a little stuttery when changing up. But again seems fine when warm.?!

    I had this same problem on same car and seemingly the garage replaced some valve someone talked about an EGR valve but am not a mechanic and am in the same boat as you as its still sort of doing it, it is better but still hates the cold Ahh
