Fiesta 1995 C.F.I Problems

Featured Replies

Hi all, new on here.

I brought my first car in November last year, whilst still being 16, so it spent large amount of time sitting on the drive. Its a M Reg 1.1 CFI Fiesta. I've recently started driving it ready for the lessons in a few weeks.

The car starts up fine from cold, and i can run it for approx. 1 hour 30mins. After this time, the engine will start to fail, cut out, and won't restart after this time.

I've checked that its sparking ok, changed the fuel filter, the radiator fan will cut in and work when the car is idling on the drive and the engine keeps going, this is before the time above. With it being my first car, i don't want to spend alot taking it to garages so i thought id ask around first.

Any ideas?

Thanks!
