What's an good wax for black mk2.5. I'm new to the world of waxing so any products and tips are greatly appreciated. What is best way to apply it too as I have no equipment yet other than a sponge!

I use dodo juice purple haze on my husbands black Mitsubishi and it really brings it up a treat, couldn't recommend it more, I've also used poor boys black hole show glaze followed with poor boys exp sealant

Hi Jeremy, I use meguiars ultimate polish and ultimate wax on mine and it looks amazing after. I found it very easy to apply and it has good protection and lasts. Do read the instructions first on whichever product you get though. Have a look on detailingworld and you will find some easy to follow guides. The meguiars box contains an applicator pad and a polishing cloth along with the bottle of wax. You'll need to wash and prep first so throw away the sponge and get yourself a lambswool mitt and two buckets. There's plenty of how to videos on you tube too if you're really bored :) Enjoy!

Definitely recommend Meguiars Ultimate Polish and Wax.

i use autoglym hd wax and you only need to apply a very thin coating of wax and it works great. i've also tried armor all shield which is a liquid type product you put on and wipe off immediately and that was good too.

Mer's wax is good to and its the only thing my friend uses

Thanks for the reply. I will get them both and the mit :). For the ultimate wax is that Meguiars Ultimate wax and wash or paste? Hopefully my first real waxing goes well hah!

For the wax I use the Ultimate liquid wax, I haven't tried the paste yet. The 'wash n wax' is good to top up the protection between proper washes/waxing though. You can get them from the meguiars website, cleanmycar website or halfords etc for the polish wipe on and buff straight off, for the wax leave it to dry before buffing it off. Takes a bit of time without a DA but well worth it. Show us a pic when it's done :)

Best wax I've used that's used by f1 teams sonax perfection polish before applying that I use sonax netshield

I used to use dodo juice purple haze on my b.m.w and the shine was brilliant people used to think it was only a few years old but it was a 15 year old car so is dodo juice for me
