It's never done this before, only got 50k on the clock.. my '04 focus decided to shudder quite badly when I'd stopped in traffic, clutch depressed and in first gear waiting to set off... It felt like an enormous gust of wind had hit it or something.

thats bad driving habits sitting at lights in gear could be your clutch on way out

She's petrol.
It was only a very brief stop in traffic but yeah it's a bad habit. I've only owned the car for three-four months and driven it about 6 times. So I really don't know.

When was it last serviced & by who ?

It was serviced 3,000 miles ago by Ford

Ive just dropped it at the local garage, they can't find anything :/

No fault codes ?
