Bluetooth And Aux 6Cd Sony Mk2 Focus

Featured Replies

Hi all

Have recently bought a mk2 focus sport 1.8tdci with the upgraded 6cd sony system was wondering if there was any easy way of putting bluetooth on the car.

Also my auxillary jack in the glove box does not seem to work.

I am not good with my hands and based in the wigan area so if anyone knows someone that could sort this out i would be happy to pay for the services and parts.

Regards

Greim

It is possible to retrofit the original fully integrated Bluetooth/Voicecontrol system. This system consists of the following parts:

*Bluetooth/Voicecontrol module.

*Bluetooth/Voicecontrol module bracket.

*Microphone.

*Bigger interior light frame with the mounting hole for the microphone.

*Radio remote stalk with VOICE button.

*Wiring of the system. Originally the wiring is fully integrated into the car's wiring looms. Ford sells a wiring loom for the system as an accessory.

In my opinion it is a nice system but the system of the Focus MK2 can not be updated and because of this it is a bit outdated already. Next to this the parts for this system are expensive.

In my opinion an aftermarket Bluetooth carkit (a Parrot for example) will be cheaper and has more functionality. However an aftermarket Bluetooth carkit is not fully integrated into the electronics of the car an may have additional screens etcetra.

If the AUX input is selected on the radio and an audio source is connected to the AUX port in the glove box it should work. If not you could check the wiring from the Aux port to the radio.
