Headlights Focus 2008

Featured Replies

Hello,

Now the headlights/my car has automatic headlights/ of my Focus are ON when the car is in contact.

Engine ignited when the lights are ON.
Which leads to the discharge of the battery.
How can I do the headlights to be ON, after the engine is started?

Thanks in advance

Anyone knows something about this?

On the Focus MK2/MK2.5 the lights will always switch on if the light switch is on the "AUTO" position and the ignition is switched on. This can not be changed without modifying the wiring and electronics of the car (which is not recommended).

The easiest solution is to manually turn the headlamps switch to the "OFF" position after the engine is switched off and turn it to the "AUTO" position after the engine is started. This will also increase the lifetime of the headlamp bulbs.
