Hi all, taken my car out today, and noticed it seems to hiss. More I put my foot on the gas the louder and stronger the hiss sounds. It sounds like air / exhaust pressure.

Any ideas people, I have a mk2.5 1.6 tdci

    I had that on my car, 1.8 tdci, and it was a split intercooler. I would check all the pipes to and from the intercooler first.

    Get your better half to press the accelerator whilst you listen under the bonnet.

    Could it be anything around egr valve. A mate fitted a egr blank for me Thursday

    put a small amount of soapy water on the EGR join, see if anything bubbles up.
