Insurance companies only have an abi code for the vehicle type and group rating. They rely on the customer to tell them about mods. Part of insurance between customer and insurer is a principle of utmost good faith. Essentially relates to the company hoping the insured is telling the truth or best to their knowledge and if so the company has to pay. Fca basically says now that unless the insurance company can show you have lied/ mis led them on the information the claim has to be paid.

I contacted them. And they said it won't be counted as a mod.

Going to ring them again on Monday to make sure.
